There are two fantastically situated
camps at Kwalata (
Valamanzi (Close the water ) and Zingela ( Hunter)), each outstanding with their very own unique
atmosphere, designed with one main objective- your comfort and
pleasure. With all the modern conveniences the rooms are all
fully serviced and sumptuous meals will be prepared for you
by
one of SA's up and coming top chefs, however on cooler nights there is always
the option of some relaxed home cooking allowing you to enjoy
a typical South African Braai (BBQ) with your favourite Sun downer.
As the two camps are all so very different, you can't
help but having a favourite so we let you pick and choose between
the two camps, making sure you stay in the African setting
of your dreams.
Zingela, the main camp is as luxurious as it natural. Shaded
under a canopy of huge trees this camp has been skilfully constructed
entirely from local stone and indigenous wood. Built almost
in a circle, life at Zingela inevitably ends up revolving around
the huge log fire that dominates the centre of the camp providing
the perfect place for a shaded afternoon doze or in the evening
a mesmeric blaze round which to share the days bush tales. Zingela
is a hive of relaxation.
Also there is Valamanzi camp with its wooden lodges built
on stilts. Connected by elevated walkways between sun decks
that provide bird's-eye views over the beautiful dam it is not
just the fishermen that will think they have died and gone to
heaven. This camp differs from the others, not in its luxuriousness,
but in the fact that each lodge is fully equipped with it’s
own fully equipped kitchen allowing you the option of totally
doing your own thing should that be what takes your fancy. |
