September/October and April/May are the spring and autumn months. Temperatures vary from 0 to 23 degrees C. There is little or no rain with new leaves or leaf fall respectively, and it is cold at night.
November, December, January, February and March: African summer months are very hot from 10 degrees to 35 degrees. This is the rainy season when the bush is thick and green, and there are lots of baby animals about. Brief and dramatic afternoon thundershowers and lightning are common.
June, July, and August: these winter months have temperatures varying from minus 3 to 18 degrees, it’s the dry season and fewer leaves makes game viewing and hunting easier. The bush is dry and mostly brown and the nights are very cold.
Sumptuous meals are prepared for you by a top professional chef and on suitable evenings, there is always the option of some relaxed alfresco cooking – the traditional South African braai (BBQ) while sipping your favourite sundowner. Alternatively the spacious and well equipped kitchens are also suitable for self-catering guests.
